Managing Your Membership

Q: How do I sign up for a membership?
A:

All of our Snap Fitness gyms are independently owned and have their own membership pricing options. To view membership options and pricing, find a club near you!

Q: What are the costs of your memberships?
A:

Membership dues vary by location since each club is individually owned and operated. Find the club nearest you by clicking here.. From there, you can view pricing for the type of membership you are inquiring about.

Q: How do I put my membership on hold?
A:

Life gets busy. That's why we allow members to freeze their accounts. Contact your local club and a team member will be able to explain the process and assist you.

Q: How can I transfer my membership to another club?
A:

You can create a member profile and request a transfer by following this link to access the Snap Fitness member login page.

Q: Why was my membership transferred to another club without notifying me?
A:

One of the benefits of being a Snap Fitness member is that you can use any one of our Snap Fitness locations. Your home club handles your membership benefits and billing, so your membership is automatically transferred to the club you are attending most often—even if it is not the club where you signed up.

Q: How do I cancel my membership?
A:

We hate to see you go! Because cancellation rules may vary from state to state, specific information on cancellation can be found in your Membership Agreement. Don’t have it handy? You can contact your club directly to cancel your membership. Feel free to call, email, or walk in during staffed hours and your club team will assist you in the cancellation process. Miscellaneous

Q: How do I get a new access card?
A:

We’ve got you covered! Your club can issue you a new card—usually for a small fee. Please contact your club during staffed hours to set up a time to get a new card.

Q: As a member, can I bring a friend or pay a small fee to bring a friend occasionally?
A:

BFFs (or Best Fitness Friends as we call them!) are welcome to join you, but for safety and insurance purposes, your guest must speak with club staff to obtain a guest pass and sign a waiver. Guests are not allowed to use a member’s access card, and members will be charged for unauthorized visitors.

Q: Why does the website list different prices than what the club is telling me?
A:

Clubs can offer different promotions that are "online only" or "in-store only." Please contact your local club to find out which offer is best for you.

Q: How do I update my billing information?
A:

All billing changes and updates need to be handled directly by your Snap Fitness club. Find your local club to get in touch with them, and they’ll be happy to help you!

Q: How can I update my card on file?
A:

Your club is happy to help! To change your account information, please contact your local club during staffed hours.

Q: Do you provide discounts for seniors, military, or corporate discounts?
A:

Yes! Contact the club you are interested in joining for more information. Follow this link to find your nearest Snap Fitness club.

Personal Training Certification

Q: How do I become a personal trainer?
A:

The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) provides special offers for Snap Fitness employees to become a certified personal trainer. Contact Joseph Miller at Joseph.Miller@nasm.org to sign up or learn more about the program!

Q: How long does it take to become certified in personal training?
A:

Every program varies, however every NASM program is self-study oriented. Contact Joseph Miller at Joseph.Miller@nasm.org to learn more!

Q: How much does personal training certification cost?
A:

Personal training certification programs range in cost depending on the program, but Snap Fitness employees can receive a special discount! Contact Joseph Miller at Joseph.Miller@nasm.org to find out more.

Q: What happens if my personal training certification expires?
A:

Personal trainers need to recertify every two years. To recertify through NASM, check out the steps to follow here.

Q: How much can I make as a Snap Fitness personal trainer?
A:

This is entirely dependent on how many clients you have, how much time you dedicate to your personal training, and a variety of other factors. As a personal trainer you are your own boss, so this is entirely up to you!

Q: What does a Myzone Heart Rate Monitor cost?
A:

Q: What are the benefits of heart rate training?
A:

Heart rate technology is a great way to track every success and move your mood! Myzone heart rate technology allows you to move towards your goals while you work and to review your progress in the Myzone app. You’ll also have a chance to participate in Myzone challenges with your club for a chance to win prizes!

Q: Do I need to wear my Myzone every time I work out?
A:

You only have to wear your Myzone technology when you want to. If you are aiming to capture and celebrate all your movements, we recommend wearing your tech any time you are getting active.

Q: What does the Money Back Guarantee mean?
A:

At Snap Fitness, we know that the most important thing about joining a gym is the way fitness makes you feel. We’re so sure that you’ll love our fitness centers that if you sign up for a full membership and don’t feel a positive difference in your physical and mental wellbeing within 30 days, the club will refund your membership dues and access card fees. In order to receive a refund, you must work out at the club at least twice a week for four weeks and attend a fitness evaluation with Club staff.  The refund does not apply to program fees, tanning, personal training, vending or merchandise purchases.

Q: Do I need a full membership to qualify for the Money Back Guarantee?
A:

Yes! The Money Back Guarantee applies to members who have signed up for a full membership.
